Image de Rainier, a nonprofit organization serving the interest of Hispanics in employment and education. Established it’s scholarship program with the goal of promoting educational opportunities for Hispanic youth in the state of Washington. Each year, the Scholarship Committee will select deserving high school seniors, undergraduate and graduate students as recipients of an Image de Rainier Hispanic Student Scholarship. Selection will be based on the following criteria:

 

Applicants must:

  • Be Hispanic and a member in good standing of Image de Rainier or a dependent of a member in good standing of Image de Rainier or the dependent of a member in good standing with any IMAGE chapter.
  • Have at least a 2.0 Grade Point Average (GPA) 
  • Submit a completed Image de Rainier scholarship application. (incomplete applications will not be considered).
  • Submit a one page essay stating their goals and plans for their future, their chosen field of study, and a brief biography including their identification with the Hispanic community.
  • Submit two letters of recommendation from: 
    • a teacher
    • a member of the Hispanic community
  • Submit a copy of recent high school or college transcripts.

Each year scholarships will be awarded depending on availability of funds targeted for this purpose. Applications must be post marked or received at Image de Rainier at the address listed above, no later than the last Monday in June. Scholarship recipients will be notified of their selection by the third Monday in July.
